Independence Day Flyover Take Off 4:00pm
Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday Above the Pacific
Join us at The Rooftop Bar for one of Oceanside’s most iconic Fourth of July traditions as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence.
Presented in partnership with Show Boss Productions, the festivities begin at 4:00 PM with a ceremonial Presentation of the Colors, followed by the San Diego Salute Formation Flyover soaring above the Oceanside Pier. Featuring vintage Beechcraft T-34 military trainer aircraft, the historic flyover serves as a powerful tribute to the service, sacrifice, and spirit that have shaped the nation over the last 250 years.
From patriotic moments in the sky to poolside cocktails, DJs, and rooftop views throughout the day, The Rooftop Bar offers a front-row seat to one of the coast’s most memorable Independence Day celebrations.
Reserve your table at The Rooftop Bar for guaranteed seating and the best views in town. Seating is limited, and reservations are strongly encouraged for guaranteed or best-available placement during the event. Arrive early to see the Presentation of the Colors.

Looking for another place to take in the celebration? Mission Pacific and The Seabird offer several additional viewing locations, each with its own perspective on the festivities.
At Valle, the ocean-view patio opens early at 2:00 PM with a special beverage menu before dinner service begins at 3:00 PM. With sweeping views toward the pier and a front-row seat to the flyover, it’s an ideal setting for an afternoon cocktail before the holiday festivities continue into the evening.
Prefer something more casual? The Café at Mission Pacific will be open during regular business hours, serving coffee, pastries, light fare, and refreshments throughout the day. Reservations are not required unless dining with a party of six or more.
Across the street at The Seabird, The Shore Room offers a comfortable place to settle in for the afternoon with craft cocktails, coastal fare, and ocean views. With lounge-style seating both indoors and out, it’s an easy place to gather before, during, and after the flyover. For an elevated experience, a limited number of private firepits are available to reserve.
For those looking to stay poolside, The Shelter Club offers another unique vantage point for the afternoon’s festivities. Enjoy food, drinks, sunshine, and views of the celebration from the resort pool deck.
