National Artichoke Day celebrates one of California’s most beloved crops, first recognized in Castroville in 1949. At The Rooftop Bar in Oceanside, the occasion is marked with a seasonal dish inspired by the region’s agricultural heritage.

Chef Alec presents Grilled Roman-Style Long Stem Artichokes served with caramelized lemon aioli, pecorino, and lotus root. Guests can pair the dish with the Buccaneer cocktail featuring Uncle Nearest 1884 Whiskey and Cynar, the iconic Italian artichoke aperitif, all enjoyed with rooftop views above the Pacific.
